Uhh what the hell are you people talking about?
Care to explain it to the people who live outside the states?

Shit. I know shit's bad right now, with all that starving bullshit, and the dust storms, and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution.

President Camacho, Idiocracy. I came pretty close to being forced to see that movie - luckily the power went out.

Pretty bad movie, but my buddy who works in what can only be described as telemarketing can't wait for the day he is going to quit so he can answer the phone "Welcome to Costco, I love you." as his company does some phone work for their promotions.

a) Her name is Formica Davis not female reporter
b) I was actually going to quote that one again but I went with more camacho
c) a buddy of mine told me about the movie a couple years ago and I wound up seeing it (I protested) but after rewatching it last night and catching stuff I didn't I think this movie is fucking hilarious, and with some interesting social commentary to boot
d) hey, rehabilitiation? one night? Doesn't sound so bad

I got a copy of the movie from something awful secret santa 2007. I didn't really want to watch it, and on the first viewing thought it was pretty horrible. I don't know why, but about a year later I decided to watch it again and thought the movie was absolutely hillarious.
I try recommending the movie to friends, but nobody ever seems to think its funny. I guess they haven't spent enough time on the internet to appreciate the sattire.

When I first saw this movie, I thought it was so-so but ended up watching it again a few days later. It's since become one of my favorite movies of all time
...it really does take a few viewings to really catch all the little things throughout the movie.
Around the office, whenever one of my guys talks to a female co-worker (especially if they're attractive but also, if they're very fugly) at their desk, I usually IM them this wonderful Idiocracy screen shot mid-conversation:
...which often gets followed up with a conversation about going family style, getting a "latte" from Starbucks, etc. Good stuff

I saw this movie too and was left with a feeling like I had been insulted somehow and didn't know it.
When I think back on it, there was a lot of funny shit that for some reason wasn't quite as funny during the movie. Maybe if Not Sure had some quality that was at least *somewhat* respectable it would have been more entertaining.
Dunno.
I will meditate on this.
Not really.

it wouldn't surprise me if most people don't like this movie at first . . . hell, i'd almost expect it! A contemporary criticism this potent can't be swallowed lightly by those targeted. Personally, I fuckin loved it!
