anyone still excited about this? Saw a little news article earlier today about them having some kind of "dynamic battlefield". So depending on the score ratio the map will change and have a different layout... so they'll be like 14 different layout sets for a single map that change everytime the score changes. Kind of sounds like fun, but i hope its not cheesy and annoying. Certainly will make SG and pipebomb planting a little more strategic if pathways are only used a fraction of the time.

Meh, after watching this I wish to retract my emoticon, or at least change the direction of the arrow... *sigh* No grenades? FFS... Twas the last game on the planet with predictable grenades!
Meh, from the interview, it sounds like they actually found quite a few ways to dumb down the game and are aiming for an audience more the age of our current All2Fort population. (Or at least that portion of which that is 15 and under.) They were definitely thinking "console game" when they made this one, not thinking of the PC community at all.
*sigh* Hopefully we can at least benefit from a cycling of clientele, be worth the switch just for that, and a map rotation.

I like the premise that teamwork should be more important than aim and skill, but that never seems to work in practice. Rather than get a great new teamwork/choice driven game, such decisions often result in a shitty shitty game.
Perhaps it's roughly analogous to stripping marines of the silent crouched backwards bunnyhop.
