I got it installed on wine easily, the cedega version I got diddnt seem to want to so much as install steam...

For cedega I just copied the folder from a win machine onto dvd then copied into my .cedega steam blah blah directory..seems to work.
The regular steam install gave me memory errors and wouldnt copy even simple text files. I know with cedega and newer versions of hl 1 and hl2 you need to install msi.exe. Anywho looks like i need a lil reading time to understand ns.

Yeah i used wine to install steam, it worked perfectly with
wine msiexec steam.msi
