so I have this madcatz imported sanwa internaled ps3 arcade stick, that is USB

it hooks up to mein computer no problem, but naturally the xbox360 will have nothing to do with it.

what avenues are available to get the stick to work on xbox360 cause I'm tired of being curbstomped cause I'm on an inferior input device

Brainstorming: An adapter / device where it's PS3 UBS in --> generic USB/spoofed xbox controller out
Splicing / a conversion cable? Does the xbox only allow xbox peripherals and not generic USB?

any help would be great, thanks!

A step in the right direction, proof of concept

I saw a couple converters like that, and having looked into it Xbox uses a security chip to auth whatever peripherals attach.

129$ breaks the budget thou, I can get a dedicated xbox sanwa stick for $100 no tax no shipping

I guess the budget for converting is about $40-60 bucks

I'm just playing third strike / MvC2 on my buddies xbawks

Get a 360 controller, gut it, solder the wires from the buttons onto the PCB inside the 360 controller?

I dunno, sucks for buying proprietary nonsense. <--- from Scythe on NSF

now that is what I envisioned

I mean, yes this would work in theory, but you also run the risk of ruining 2 controllers this way, if you have 80$ to experiment with, go for it. If I was going to risk ruining 80$ of hardware for something that was going to most likely end up looking unprofessional/glued together I'd probably see what 80$ worth of third party hardware would buy me... like an adapter. I think those adapters run somewhere around 50$ and up.

Alternatively you could just play with the 360 controller.

at the level I play controllers won't hack it for me cause I need my 98% execution

I wind up loosing matches when it boils down to a single moment of execution

if I had a my stick I could feel sated

if only they had adapters around $50 the cheapest I found is around $100

so the answer is just stay down and dirty with the craigslist and I got a 4 gate xbox360 stick for $40

also there is a Chinese company that makes USB adapters (like two ps2 controllers --> usb for emulators $7) that is coming out with a new $20 that does the cross platform xbox360 ps3 etc etc
