Personally, I like the idea of new maps to play.

I created this poll to see where the community stands on wanting them.

It's not like NS's community is getting any larger, and they're certainly not making any more maps to play on while they work on NS2, so it might do a lot to alleviate the "same old same old" syndrome that seems to have gripped the veterans.

The reason I was drawn to jiggs was the lack of bullshit. I DO NOT WANT TO DOWNLOAD A NEW MAP EVERY 5 MINUTES!

Sure why not, a refresh is always a good thing, anyways we can rollback the change at anytime, why not give it a chance, I mean there are a couple of good maps, old maps, classic maps, epic maps, that veterans and news gotta love or remember, like ns_mineshaft. Just my 2 cents.

P.S: Sorry TAK, mineshaft is not in the rotation right now or at least I never saw it on the server. Is an old ass map, like v2 or something, do you remember it?

Real games don't come on new maps?

People don't even like the new NS maps put out by the team - nevermind the third party maps, most of which are really crappy. Sure, there's a few good ones out there, but they are the exception rather than the rule, and even then, most of them are CO – takes too much time to make an NS maps, vs CO maps, and infinitely more effort to make them well.

new maps require people to learn them in order to have a real game. it'll take . . . 6 months? for a decent percentage of players at any given time learn a map, and people that don't play semi-regularly in the JR might not know it at all.
