So, 24/7 casbah?
I've no idea what the actual mapcycle.txt is at the moment, I'm sure it's not working as intended though.
Yeah, I figured foxbot - commands are passed though a cvar called "bot", except I can't figure anyway to shift all the bots to one team, thus far. It maybe a simple matter of running the kickall command and adding them manually afterwards, not tried yet.

Yeah kick them. Then add them all to team 1 or 2, but then is there an auto balance feature? That could override it.

Argh, lots of tweaking to do - I'll integrate Thoth's suggestions.
Also, here's the current mapcycle:
//Final Rotation
casbah
#well
badlands "\minplayers\16\maxplayers\32\"
dustbowl "\minplayers\16\maxplayers\32\"
rock2 "\minplayers\1\maxplayers\16\"
flagrun
avanti "\minplayers\8\maxplayers\32\"
2fort
epicenter "\minplayers\1\maxplayers\16\"
ravelin "\minplayers\16\maxplayers\32\"
Also... holy crap, there are 21 people in the TF2 server. We may make a name for ourselves in that arena after all
...guess that means even more round table discussions about making that server better sometime in the near future. Speaking of populated servers, here's the current load:
8832 panduck 15 0 349m 278m 23m R 30 5.1 118:02.56 srcds_i486
16698 panduck 15 0 117m 92m 11m S 5 1.7 124:18.83 hlds_i686
12635 panduck 15 0 122m 103m 11m S 3 1.9 197:03.56 hlds_i686
6063 panduck 15 0 105m 78m 9008 S 1 1.4 15:19.70 hlds_i686
Basically, the server is 10% utilized with all that's going on. Yay headroom

Also - god it was fun playing non-2fort TFC with some of the old-school regulars. I did however, feel like Michael Jordan returning to the NBA - the legend (*cough* slight exaggeration) returning and getting the crap beat out of him... especially by Wiggly. Argh... must evolve.
Anyways, good times... I now remember why TFC's my FPS first love.

Well, like I said, today it was doing nothing but Casbah and Flagrun, over and over.
I’m not sure if mapcycle.txt takes # as a commenter. I think ye’d be safe just moving well to the end of the rotation - then if it does crash (which I think only happens when one team is entirely bots), it'll just start the rotation over, and it wont be a big deal.
BTW – I think ye can also change the bot max, on a map-per-map basis, by adding, bot "max_bots xx" to the individual map configs. Ye could, for instance, set bot "max_bots 12" on Badlands, Dustbowl, and Ravelin.cfg, to buffer any extra players ye may feel you need. (But again, I found Ravelin plenty enjoyable 4v4)

I have been enjoying the TF2 server, even if you haters aren't
I'm yet to try out the new TFC rotation server, but it looks good on paper.

I was going to say, i thought you detested it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Waste of money if i do recall.
I used to hate hydro as well, but now I've actually come to like the level design. it's still annoying that the cap points are so such quick caps, but they are also easy to defend, you only really need 1 sg and a demoman and you're golden. It's not the best map, but it's probably the most fast paced of the TF2 maps. I think gavelpit is arguably the best TF2 map though.
It's addicting i tell you! you can't play just 1 gravelpit.

Applied Thoth's suggestion. Here's what it looks like now:
//Thothie's suggestion
casbah "\minplayers\0\maxplayers\32\"
crossover2 "\minplayers\4\maxplayers\32\" //needs 2 per team for D (+bots dont conc jump)
dustbowl "\minplayers\4\maxplayers\32\" //(it'd actually be 8 players w/bots)
cz2 "\minplayers\10\maxplayers\32\" //any less than 5v5 becomes a scout race
avanti "\minplayers\0\maxplayers\32\"
flagrun "\minplayers\0\maxplayers\32\"
push "\minplayers\0\maxplayers\32\"
ravelin "\minplayers\10\maxplayers\32\"
rock2 "\minplayers\4\maxplayers\32\"
badlands "\minplayers\4\maxplayers\32\"
warpath "\minplayers\4\maxplayers\32\"
well "\minplayers\10\maxplayers\32\" //I figure make well last in rotation in case it crashes
...Modified the well minplayers to 10 because bots don't join past 6 players and as was mentioned earlier, if all the bots are gone, it might be good. The 4 additional slots were for padding - since the bots don't leave the second someone new joins and there's that slight delay. Also, made the minplayers 10 for ravelin - I think it's way too big for anything less.
Edit: Heh, this is beginning to look like an admin thread

which map is cz2 again? I don't seem to recall that one, that or ravelin. What do they look like?
Is cz2 the one with the heavily fortifies bases, the canals and the little red manholes. And you have to link conc over the wall of the opposing team's base, or have someone open the door from the inside?

Another interesting piece of info:
^ Daily bandwidth graph with a 5 minute average
...TF2 is a bandwidth whore.

I won't request them(because you'd just say no ), but I remember when you used to have the hldm maps on the server, like crossfire, undertow, snarkpit and the railroad one. Those were some fun times, especially crossfire. I remember hornet and I would go engineer and whore the bunker the entire game.
Those were some trulely great maps, with all the boobytraps and map specific entities. They just don't make maps like those anymore, for any game really.

cz2 has the capture points. 5 i believe, has the canals through the map and in the middle is a flag point with small buildings on each side and boxes.
