yeah the ns server lag is unbearable and i was wondering if I could donate a server with the same setup as the current NS server. I asked some of the regulars on the server and they said to post it here so yeah. the box i have access to is a texas softlayer server which has nothing on it but one private cs 1.6 server.

not a gaming company its a dedicated linux server...from a hosting company...softlayer...read first msg?

I dont understand why Gabe doesn't just host a server on it himself. I'm sure OA could use a new place to call home.

I should probably chime in -
I appreciate the offer however, I don't feel comfortable running a server on a box that is hosted out of state and that I have no control over.
Also, not everybody knows what Softlayer is. I worked for the 800 pound gorilla of data centers (Exodus Communications, Cable & Wireless), was entrenched in the industry for 5 years, frequently do business with carriers in Texas to this day, and I've never even heard of them.
Please don't assume is all I'm saying

www.softlayer.com suprising you've never heard of them, i'm pretty sure I could give you access to the box if you want?
Well maybe because I want to keep the regulars on it? I enjoy the people who play on the server I'm not trying to get people to leave is why I'm not making my own separate server to just steal people off of. Also, OA would already be banned from the server  .
