I think you haven't picked up that when I said "eric myers" I was implying that "eric myers" wasn't me, because my name is erik myers. If doc also failed to realize that, then shame on him too.

No I was simply pointing out the idiocy of ridiculing someone for mispelling your name when you are using an alternate from the normal spelling.

Good, I thought so. But I'm not using an "alternate" from the "normal" spelling . . . I'm using a "normal" spelling. I would argue (and did) that my spelling is the original and the more popular one is the alternate, but that doesn't change the fact that they are both equally normal in today's global society. Its not like my name is jaysen or some bullshit like that, its Erik, the preferred spelling in many cultures more homogenized than typical american society (in which people often resort to "alternative" spellings, and many have come to be accepted as "normal").

I find it incredibly ignorant and arrogant of you to decide that my way is incorrect just because you are part of an idiotic and judgmental society that has chosen to propagate an OBJECTIVELY less-valid (although still perfectly acceptable if you ask me) spelling of a BORROWED name.
