So over the years Jiggs has provided us quality gaming servers and has really not asked anything in return. Instead of complaining about the lag, what do yall think about starting a new server fund? I know I would be willing to donate some money towards a new server, just something to think about.

No. Sorry, the reason why I've never accepted anything is because of the complications that come with other people "owning" parts of the box. It's like marriage I suppose. At first everything is cool and I'm free to use the hardware with no strings attached, but if a divorce comes along, shit's gonna hit the fan and server ownership disputes are gonna come along. There's also the issue of people wanting something in return like a shell account or rcon access. Sorry, for security reasons, that's unacceptable.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you can make claims of ownership based on financial donations for server maintenance. Jigglypuff, if you would like some support, read up on donations and ownership laws (or maybe some1 here knows this already?) and figure out a system where we give you the money for the server, but without having to "own" it.

As for me donating...that all depends on whether I get my act together and setup a paypal etc...

Would I donate? No. Even if I had the money, I don't think I would give some guy I don't know money just to keep a server running for a game he doesn't even play. Almost all of the cool people on the server are banned or don't play there anymore. Sorry, Jiggly, but even if you did take donations, you wouldn't get a penny out of me.
