Sorry for the delayed response folks. Got a copy of NS2 over the break so I should be able to get a server up and running + actually test it. Learned not to just throw games up without owning a copy first (all new players spawning in the middle of a vast ocean in Minecraft) so just needed to get that out of the way. I'm pretty surprised - it actually feels like NS even with the gameplay tweaks. A++, would play again.

Will try to get it up sometime this week... need to learn Valve's new server system first and tweak it all. Hopefully the server can handle 16-24 players.
