There's a lot of folk contending this is bogus - although most seem to be referencing the same two people, or simply going by the claim of "infinite" detail and say:
I suppose what they have there could be a real time render, and not a procedural render, if the mass duplication of artwork is due to virtual mirroring, rather than yet more atoms to render - that'd be fairly easy for a modern GPU to handle, but of course, it would severely limit what you could do with the software.
The closest thing I've seen and worked with to this is the Atomontage Voxel Engine (though not that version of it), which, while interesting, is no where near this cloud renderer's claims. There are other Voxel engines, but the other ones I've seen, unlike Atomontage, aren't "true" Voxel engines.
Still, can't really prove it's fake, just thinkin', most likely.
