Post HEY
Hey all.
Wow, you guys are still playing.. :)
I heard they finally came out with Steam for Mac... so I guess that means I should finally by the Orange box. :)

I've been away for a few years, working, doing martial arts, mountain biking, and *gasp* console gaming on my PS3. (PS3 id: effDefender).

I logged on tonight on a whim, and wow, I still recognize so many of the names, even though I haven't played since Steam stopped supporting Win 98. (What was that, 2006?)

So, here's a big "HEY!" Glad to see my account still works here. :D

Oh yeah. I'm also buying a house. When I'm all settled in, maybe I'll get some play time in. :)

Right now I've been doing Call Of Duty on my PS3.

Around, yes. Can't say I play much these days, though.

Good to see you around, though. You kinda fell off the radar.

Hi Deff...

I don't get to play anything anymore. :...(

Except here, where I play the "must not click on that link TAK posted" game, from time to time. :(

When I'm not working on games, or on GPS databases involving gas-lines, or getting snuck into labs with broken DNA databases, only to find I need top secret clearance to be there, after I'm already in, or trying to salvage an ancient 286 network to save thousands of jobs, I'm watching over the not-quite-significant-other's dieing relatives. >_>

(No doubt next they'll have me trying to fix a nuclear reactor... Seems to be the year of "have Thoth do a life and death job he's not in anyway qualified for.")

If I'm really lucky, I might get an hour of coop L4D once a week. :/

Meh, at least you're qualified to be there. :P

Gah, I hope I don't see that powder keg explode in my lifetime - 'specially while the NS player I am most likely to detect by his sheer movement is over there. ;)

Sadly, I think some factions over here want the war, or (much more likely) their nuke program to keep going - that's the only reason I can see for the policy we've taken towards them. :/ Generally, when Norea gets pissy like this, they calm down soon afterwards, so hopefully you'll be out of there soon. Then again, there are certainly worse places to be assigned, at the moment.

Happy Turkey-day, in anycase... Er... Day after, for you, I suppose... ;)

haha thanks thoth. Nothing I can do is just wait and see over here. South can't really do much because the Norths Arty is well in range of Seoul, and the civilian casualty rate would be massive. I am on like 50 miles or so from the DMZ.

Geez, sounds like no-one plays anymore!!

Zoe, good luck over there, man! It seems our strategy is to wait out the regime change and see what happens.

Tak:
I did about 4-5 years of Aikido (so I must have been doing it before I stopped posting here). I think I'm going to quit now, though, as I'm buying a house and moving a bit further away.

I also did about a year+ of Modern Arnis, and about half a year of Muay Thai. I did a small touch of bjj.

HAHAHAH ya, but they still go anyway. I just can't wait till one of my clowns does something stupid and I get to go to the Korean jail and pick his ass up.

Recently a guy stole a laptop from a Korean Nationals Vehicle, and there are cameras all over the place here so they got him in the file, not to mention there are a bunch of other infractions. Went to Korean court and so on. Thank goodness he is not one of my children hahaha.

How's the weather over there, anyway? Everything I read in regimental history says Korea is a bastard in the winter.

Thankfully for me... I got a tasking to NTC at Ft. Irwin this February. Not exactly warm sandy beaches, but a damn sight better than here... or Korea, for that matter. ;)

Irwin? That place sucks man... Only good thing about it is its kinda close to vegas and LA, that is about it. Its cold right now here in Korea. Snowed a couple of days ago, and its just only going to get colder. Its the damn wind that makes it so bad.
