Jeeze, wtf do I do with all this spare time... When I'm not galivanting around fixing half-assedly fixing people's websites, puters, remote servers, or half-assedly trying to fix people's heads though low-income social service programs / put in enough hours for that MFTC I thought I already had... Or helping my damned friends with their damned webpages...

I suppose I spend most of that time hanging out with creepy little girls (mostly exes), or the pagan crew (some exes), or trying to hold my one of old ex's clubs together (although that's largely on hiatus for a few months). Sometimes I head down and do some volunteer work for CUUPS (ie. the extended pagan crew), which is fun when we have a festival or something, but the rest of the time turns into letter stuffing and the like. Sometimes an interesting research project or misinformation campaign will come up, or if we get really bored, we'll start a bible fight, amongst a crew of mostly unbelievers and self-described heathens, just to see who can win. Sometimes we'll send something into Arnold Murray just to see if we can trick him into coming up with an insanely wrong answer, and have a party watching the video when he does (happens, amazingly often).

The political scene has just had me so outraged lately I've been alternating between hiding away from reality, and lashing out by joining a small band of rebels for short periods for action no doubt deemed "anti-American" by anyone perpetuating the status-quo. This tends to wind up to similar activity to CUUPS, except I tend to be the oldest here, so I seem to wind up in a directorial position instead. Field trips with little (20-some) kiddies to Democracy Now! media awareness events, voting monitor volunteers, voter fraud investigation, etc. etc. Like herding angry cats it is.

And to escape all that there's the Anime that is so central to my wannabe Otakuness... This takes up much time, and hard drive space. Conventions and movie showings are fun though. Plus the current Lady X hosts a viewing of some, odd stuff, once a month on the ceiling of her place.

...and when I'm so bored, I can't even play NS, sometimes I'll actually try to resurrect ancient dead HL1 games by joining their development team. - But don't tell anyone - already have too many people with the idea in their head that I'm a game developer.

I don't really have any hobbies right now. The past year's been crazy busy, and this year's looking to be just as wild. I just finished all my basic training about 3-4 weeks ago, and now I'm out with 2PPCLI in Shilo, Manitoba. I just started a LAV III Turret Op course yesterday that will run until the beginning of April, whereupon... Our company starts workup training to deploy overseas to Afghanistan next year.

So... Right now, it's mostly just computers, reading, and CQC.

I do martial arts (Aikido), go to the gym, hit baseballs at batting cages, do yoga, visit botanical gardens, go on dates, go clubbing, go paintballing, and overall generally try new things.

Yessir! I'm taking my gunner course right now. As far as I can tell by the roster, my section doesn't currently even have a primary or backup gunner, so I'm in a pretty good position to nab one of those two spots.

Damn, I wish I could be doing something like that, I wanted to go armor, but no, they pulled "you wont be back in time for school, it takes too long" bullshit on me so I went Infantry. Oh well i get to do MOUT this summer so I guess it will be fun........

Heh, I'm infantry too! Mechanized FTW! We don't use the LAV-25/Coyote carriers that the Marines down there use, we use the LAV III/Kodiak carriers. Newer generation turret, some other stuff besides. Armoured still uses the LAV-25/Coyotes as recce vehicles.

Anyway, I thought the infantry had the Bradleys down there. Nice vehicles.

Ya, I have a friend who is a Cav scout and is a driver for a Bradley. I heard from some one that there was no mos for mech inf anymore I really don't know. With armor I was hoping to get to work with a stryker brigade, but meh
