If you are serious, drop me a PM. Mind you its a huge desk, you'll need a big car to take it (don't think you'll get this thing with a honda civic). The desk top is one huge piece, probably weighs over 150 lbs and is a good 6x6 feet.

damnit man, y do u have to crush my dreams of hauling that monster home in my civic??
i want that thing so bad, but i have no idea where i would put it. also, my desktop comp is broke and i only use a laptop. also, id have to have cash to go and get it. u being in the east bay and not the coast makes this worse.
so, u offer a dream deal, but hidden behind that is a bunch of shit things that make my dream impossible.
just tell me ull pay like 20 bucks for someone to take it off ur hands. then i have an excuse to not not pick it up: cant pass up a free sack.
do u think i could strap it somehow to the roof?

Sir, the desk is bigger than your car and weighs more than that woman. Seriously.

i thought it was comical to suggest strapping it to the roof of the car. especially since u already stated dont bring ur civic, and mine being a low riding rice burner and all.
shit.

So, update on my monitor. Looks like I was just spoiled by my top-of-the-line-in-2000 CRT. The A00 IS an acceptable 2407fpw-hc monitor. Some of the -HC's are old A04 from the pre -HC days (early 2007), and then they restarted the revision numbering scheme at A00.
Sigh, but it IS pretty

The problem I've been having with my large LCD monitor is that I can't play any newer games (HL2 or Later) at full resolution without it lagging horribly.
We'll see if I can get that fixed with this new build I'm doing, however I don't think that I'll be able to get some of these newer games to run that well at full resolution with all the eye candy turned on.

OK, so I've done more research and compared it to my friends and I now realize that I have in fact been ripped off, as in given a crappy product. It must be suffering from defects or something, so back it goes after all.
Picture of unacceptable crappiness:
(Yes, I made that test image myself in photoshop. It goes from black in lower right to pure blue in upper left)

Mine is banding when it gets near black. I've noticed that my monitors have trouble distinguishing darker colors from black a lot :\

My samsung is superb for the copious amounts of photo editing I do.
Only "gripe" is that it doesn't have an up/down pivot (not angle up and down, actually physically moving the screen up and down), and that it can't be rotated for portrait orientation.
Ah well.
