Yeah, it's definitely been a while. I've checked in occasionally, but things were pretty quiet here. Good to see that this place is still around, though.

Last year was pretty ridiculous, but was definitely a step in the right direction. At this point, I really don't have anything greater to aspire to in my battalion. There's a few "nice-to-haves" that I wouldn't mind getting, but as far as being able to look around and say, "I'm in the best spot I can be," I'm there.

I want one more Afghanistan tour in my current role, then I am moving on to either the Canadian Special Operations Regiment, or Joint Task Force 2. If neither of those work out, then probably either off to the medic side of the house, or out of the military altogether and back to school. Regardless of what happens, onwards and upwards!

I'll check in from time to time, and if/when I do go back overseas, I'll make a more concerted effort to maintain a blog this time around.

Huh, time flies...

i haven't played a computer game, never mind NS, in longer than I can reliably recall. Were that I had time for such things as hobbies...

On the other hand, I am in the running for this year's Cambrian Patrol! 48+ hours of non-stop marching, recces, obstacle crossings and more! With 100lb rucks! All set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. I'll try to get some pictures up if/when I actually do end up going.

I haven't played NS in a few years now solely based on the fact that the I've gotten rusty and community has turned into a bunch of pretentious, elitist, unforgiving assholes who kick you from their server the second you die with a shotgun.

I hope the community is revitalized when NS2 is released or else it won't be long before it too collapses into the state of the NS community as it is today
